Susan is the co-founder and CEO of Personal Life Media, Inc. a podcast publishing company producing 25 weekly audio shows, a daily video show and companion blogs on personal growth, relationships, longevity and spirituality for people on the leading edge of culture. (The Story).
She is known for her “power-rolodex” of decision-makers in Internet marketing and media and for her success launching online advertising products for @Home Network, Excite, Mailblocks and Maven Networks.
Susan hosts a successful weekly podcast called “DishyMix: Success Secrets of Famous Media and Internet Executives. iTunes features this show in it’s “In-Depth Interviews” category which includes 60 Minutes, Fresh Air and other leading talk shows.
Susan is the Vice Chairman of the Association for Downloadable Media. downloadablemedia.org, an industry organization she co-founded in 2007 to create ad standards and audience measurement guidelines to support the growth of podcasting and vidcasting.
A courageous leader, Susan’s experience has ranged from first revenue generation at Mailblocks, ultimately sold to AOL, to managing a 200+ team as SVP Sales and Marketing at Excite@Home, responsible for more than $100 million in revenue.
In addition to founding Personal Life Media, she actively advises a handful of carefully selected organizations ranging from pre-funded start-ups to early-stage profitable companies helping them raise money or more successfully monetize their existing businesses. Her board work also includes account prioritization and sales strategy, go-to-market positioning, launching new companies and brands and packaging products and services for companies in the interactive space.
She sits on the board of directors of ZEDO, Inc. and the advisory boards of (800) FREE-411 aka Jingle Networks, Collarity, Inc,, MerchantCircle.com, My Vision One, NewsForce, and Powered, Inc., as well as the board of the Silicon Valley American Marketing Association.
Susan has previously served on the boards of Intelevision and the advisory boards of Our Story, The Beam/Blue Egg, mBuzzy (sold to SendMe), Maven Networks (sold to Yahoo!) and the founding board of the San Francisco Bay Area Interactive Group SFBIG.
Susan is now Chair Emeritus of ad:tech Expositions, the leading conference for digital marketers that reaches more than 50,000 attendees at events in San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, New York, Paris, London, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Sydney. From 2001-2006 she personally selected nearly 1,000 speakers each year as she programmed every event uniquely. She brings her Internet marketing savvy to Personal Life Media.
AdAge magazine recognized Susan as a “Digital Media Master” and one of the “10 Internet Pioneers.” Madison Avenue Journal awarded Susan a "Meteor" All-Star Award in 2007. A founding member of the Internet Advertising Bureau, she served 5 years, including an election to Vice Chairman. She continues to be a sought-after speaker and emcee presenting at over 50 digital conferences and winning the coveted DEMO God award.
Happily married for 14 years, Susan attends to her daughter (11) and inventive husband and business partner while squeezing in time for community support, working out and traveling the world. In addition to a BS with honors in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Susan has furthered her executive education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
She’s a “Life Mastery” graduate from the Anthony Robbins’ University; has been educated by OneTaste and Ecstatic Living and she’s working her way through all the levels of the Human Awareness Institute. She loves Burning Man, new beauty secrets, global consumer trends and trip hop music. Susan handles the content, talent and advertising and sponsorship relationships at Personal Life Media.
